WILBUR SMITH: I handle criminal defense and personal injury cases. I wanted to be a criminal lawyer from the time I can remember. I went to college for the purpose of going to law school. I went to law school for the purpose of being a criminal defense lawyer. And now I've practiced criminal defense law for 40 years.
My involvement in the community is extensive. I've been on a bank board. I've been on numbers of committees, both professional and civic. I was a city councilman for eight years. I was elected mayor for eight years. So I've been extensively involved in the community, which all benefits my clients.
